Have you ever thought how your life would be without music? Yes, it would be boring, unhappy and quiet. Music vibration changes the atmosphere and makes people feel better. Does it happen to you?
` Every country, every community village has their own culture. Music is related to it. Just think about Brazilian music, so many different sounds and rhythms. MPB, Axé, Pagode, Forró, … In Bahia, a state in Brazil, they have Axé as their local kind of music (MPB can be heard mainly in Rio de Janeiro).
Different races have their own musical culture too. Afro-Americans, for example, have Jazz, Rap and Hip-hop beats.
Although every place has its own culture, music makes these differences invisible and that's why it is so important.
Referring to music business, nowadays it is so powerful and rich. A CD is so expensive that just a few people are able to buy an original copy. That resulted into an illegal market. Some computer programs distribute unauthorized copyrights and every one can use it. It is simple. What you need is a computer connected to the Internet from which you may download any song that you want. However, this way of listening to music created a big discussion in the whole world. Lots of artists went to court asking for their rights. Metalica is an example of the people who sued these distributors. But this downloading may represent a solution for thousands of people who can't buy their own CDs; the problem is that, for the artists, it is very bad because their CD's selling can decay a lot.
Anyway, music will always be in our lives. It doesn't matter if the CD you hear is from a computer or not. The important is: listen to music!.
