Everybody must be conscious of one thing: fashion. Sometimes people learn about your personality by just looking at your clothes. Besides, your fashion style can determine your lifestyle. Fashion is, therefore, something very important.
If you want to get a job, for example, you must wear smart clothes. After all, it’s important to project a good appearance during an interview.
In Brazil, people wear many kinds of clothes. Jeans, shorts, different dresses and skirts, and T-shirts. Because of the tropical weather, people wear mostly delicate, fine clothes. We have created our own style. For example: Julia likes to wear pink skirts with flowers and shirts with little hearts; Anabelle likes black, and she usually wears jeans and trainers; Fernanda is just like Julia and wears colorful clothes; Catarina has good taste, but she doesn’t care about fashion. She thinks a person should stick to basics.
Here in Brazil, people worry about fashion a lot. They’re mostly vain and they always like to wear beautiful clothes.
“São Paulo Fashion Week” and “Fashion Rio” are famous events in our country. Fashion in Brazil is getting more and more important every day. Gisele Bündchen is helping improve fashion awareness, which already exists here. Nowadays, she is the most important and famous top model in the world. Thanks to her, and the other top models, our fashion in being exported.

How would you rate the emergency response efforts for Hurricane Katrina?

Options include:

A five; we're all doing all we can do

A four; People have really come together. Even if the rescue efforts were hampered a little, everyone is chipping in to help

A One; What else could they have done, given the conditions of the city?

A three; They tried hard, but factors outside of their control (looters, fires, chaos) slowed them down

A two; It was about what I expected would happen

A zero; why did President Bush wait so long to send troops? Why was there so much miscommunication among government officials?

Emergency Response? What emergency response? Government officials up through Bush should all be fired!

I'm just glad I wasn't there

If people had heeded the evacuation orders, everything would have been fine
