Our future careers (as submitted to Planetary Magazine)

We, Júlia and Felipe, have our dream careers, which are, respectively, writer and actress, and doctor. We are both students at Colégio Andrews, and since we were kids, we have been willing to pursue those careers. So, it wasn’t a family influence; we decided for ourselves, only because we like it.
About how we have chosen our future jobs, our reasons were: liking to write and act, specially theatre plays, and the curiosity about understanding the human body and the good feeling of helping other people. We would like to study in good universities, to be sure that we will learn the maximum to be great professionals, and it is certainly possible, if we study hard to pass.
Here in Brazil, the scenario for doctors is very good, although you need to have a speciality to be successful. But for writers and actresses, there is a very limited market, so you need to be very, very good, and have some luck to get a good job.
No one said it will be easy, but we are optimistic, and we think that if we are dedicated and love what we have chosen to work on, we have a good chance to be rewarded, and, at least, it is worth a try.
