TWO, IN ONE PERSON (as submitted to Planetary Magazine)

I’m a 17 year old student that lives in Rio de Janeiro. I’ve been studying at Andrews school for nine years and have been doing drama class for trhee years once a week.
I’m very interested in scenic arts because i think i have talent and expression for acting. Another thing that makes me think of this area is the influence of my teacher, that’s very good and has worked in many different places and I’ve done three plays only at school but the group is thinking about doing the plays in other places, which is going to improve my acting. My family likes the idea of my course, but not doing at university, they think it is something that won’t give my life good future. Not what i think. I wish they could change their mind and see my dream, but what i find great is that they don’t interfere in my opinion.
I also think this is related to corporal expressions (talking about body language), which i can take to the physiotherapy area, that’s another thing i wanna do. My parents also think that is not a good career to follow but as i said they don’t say a word about it, just let me choose what i want from my life and let my dreams come true. This is why i think i have a very good relationship with them and they help me by giving me information about both of them.
The future for me is something very optmistic and the work market would be, for scenic arts, to be a teacher, which would be the dream of my life besides having my own business and my own office of physiotherapy.
